Welcome to the Grove Road Schools' PTFA!
We are a registered charity raising funds for both Burbage C of E Infant School and Burbage Junior School. Registered Charity Number: 528054. Our Executive Headteacher is head of both schools.
We are a very active PTFA, with lots of things going on throughout the year. Consequently, we need a lot of help in order to make our events run smoothly and successfully. Your time, talents, ideas and support - however much you can give - are always welcome and much appreciated.
Annually, through our efforts and the support of staff, parents and carers, we raise around £13,000. This is split across the two schools. We have been able to use the money for:
Infants:
Juniors
If you would like to help in any way at one of our events, we would be delighted to have you involved. Please email the PTFA Chair, Nicky Thorington ([email protected]).
Examples of Events:
Match Funding
Match Funding makes a massive difference to the amount we can raise for the schools!
Match funding schemes vary from company to company, but in general if you helped at an event which raised £500 this could be matched by your company and up to £1,000 given in total to the PTFA. It is not complicated and won’t cost you anything, so if you volunteer at any of our events and your employer runs a match funding scheme, please let us know and we can sort the rest.

Stikins run a fundraising scheme for schools. If you would like to order labels from Stikins or find out further information, please quote our fundraising number: 3182. Here is the link:

We have a Salvation Army ‘Recycle with Michael’ recycling bank just inside the main entrance gates at the Infant School for:
Items just need to be clean, dry and in a plastic bag.
Unfortunately they cannot accept:
This makes funds for us throughout the year, so if you are thinking of having a sort-out, please consider using the recycling bin.
Christmas Cards
The children of both schools design a Christmas card. We use a company called My Child’s Art.
